The owner of this custom built house had window leaks that nobody seemed to be able to find out. They sought us out for our expertise in waterproofing. We found that the window sill detailing and design as well as the lack of flashing on the windows was a culprit. To save the client money, we used our proprietary “Wet Seal” process to cast in urethane/silicone flashing around the windows to prevent water intrusion. We made waterproof metal caps for the sills to prevent water damage on the bottom rail of the windows and leaks through the window frames. This house is now guaranteed to be dry for decades – because of the waterproofing knowledge and trades skills of Karl Kardel Company.
